Email Setup Instructions (Outlook 2000/2002/2003/2007)

We only offer official support for Microsoft Outlook 2000/2002/2003/2007 versions. However, these setup steps should be similar to other versions and other programs.

There are FOUR basic requirements for setting up your email account. These are:

» Your account username (example@orilliapronet.com)
» Your account password
» POP3 Incoming Mail Server Setting (pop.orilliapronet.com)
» SMTP Outgoing Mail Server Setting (smtp.orilliapronet.com)

Setup Instructions for a New Email Account in Microsoft Outlook

» Open Microsoft Outlook.
» At the top of the page click on the ‘Tools’ menu and then select ‘E-mail Accounts…’
» Put a dot in ‘Add a new Email Account’ and click ‘Next’.
» Choose the second option, POP3 and click ‘Next’.
» Put in your full name and full email address under ‘User Information’
» Under ‘Logon Information’ add your full Account Username. This is your full email address. For example: example@orilliapronet.com
» Add your account password.
» Make sure the option Log on Using Secure Password Authentication (SPA) is NOT checked.
» Click ‘More Settings’
» Click the ‘Outgoing Server’ tab
» Make sure the option ‘My Outgoing Server (SMTP) requires authentication IS checked.
» Click the ‘Advanced Tab’.
» Under ‘Server Port Numbers’ make sure the ‘Incoming Server (POP3) option is 110 and the Outgoing Server (SMTP) option is 1025. Ignore all other options. Click ‘OK” and the window will close.
» Click Next and any Finish buttons and your new email account should be active within Microsoft Outlook. However, you will not be able to send or receive e-mail unless your account is active at Orillia ProNet, Inc. Make sure it is.
