Orillia ProNet Windows XP Set up Instructions
NOTE: In this document, enter the information between the quotation marks (" "). Please do not enter the quotation marks.

Configuring Network and Internet Connections:
- Click Start; Control Panel
- Select Network and Internet Connections category, then click Network Connections icon.
- If you have previously had another ISP, or have encountered problems, it is recommended that you remove (delete) the earlier connection before you set up your new connection.
- Click Create New Connection, which is located in the Network Tasks Menu on the left hand side of your screen.
- This will bring up the New Connection Wizard. Click Next.
- Select Connect to the Internet, then click Next.
- Choose Set up my connection manually.
- Select Connect using a dial-up modem.
- Type "Orillia ProNet" in the ISP Name space, then click Next.
- Enter a phone number as appropriate from the list above. Click Next.
- Enter your username and password from your signup sheet. These are case sensitive (usernames are lower case; passwords are UPPER CASE -except where numbers are used). You may leave the checkboxes checked as appropriate. Click Next.
- You may leave the "Add a shortcut" option checked. Click Finish.
Connecting to Orillia ProNet
- Windows XP should create an icon called Connect to Orillia ProNet on your Desktop.
- Double-click this icon, and it should bring up a Connect to Orillia ProNet window.
- Check to Save this username and password and the appropriate box below.
- Click Dial, and you should soon be connected. You may have to start your web browser manually.
In Control Panel look for an icon called Internet Options and double-click. This will bring up a General tab. In the space where it says Home Page please type http://www.orilliapronet.com/ Click Apply at the bottom of the screen, then OK.
You can now close Control Panel and go back to your Desktop.
After you have successfully connected to Orillia ProNet's home page, click the button that says New Users and then click where it says Setting up e-mail program As there are several e-mail programs available, you can now set up whichever mail program you wish to use by following the on-screen instructions. Refer to your signup sheet for e-mail address; server names; account name etc. If you choose "Outlook Express", it will start another Internet Connection Wizard. Just follow the prompts, and enter the information as asked.
